Hello! At your service to document all the feels of your day! All of those gorgeous wee moments that make your day unique and special. Those cute wee glances, the giggles, the hand squeezing, the happy tears, the nerves….and all the LOVE!
“I Hate Having My Photo Taken”
I hear these words all the time. Don’t worry, I feel you. There’s nothing more awkward than having a camera pointing at you and being told to say ‘cheese’! This is a cheese-free zone (apart from my cheesy AF patter and disco playlist!).
The majority of the day I’ll be snapping away and all you have to do is enjoy your day, enjoy each other, and pretend I’m not even there. The only time I’ll ask you to look at the camera is when we are doing group shots and portraits but I’ll give you wee prompts and keep you moving and make it fun!
The life behind the lens
Born and bred in the Scottish Borders at a time when you would leave the house in the morning and only return home when you were hungry or tired. You would meet your friends and go on adventures, jump in rivers, play knock door run!
This childlike sense of adventure has thankfully never left me and I still love to explore, jump in waves and freeze my ass off in the water, get blown about on hill tops and snowboard down mountain slopes. Scotland is like one big outdoor playground and we spend as much time as possible exploring it in our VW camper, ‘Disco’.
Not one to follow societal rules, I had my kids when I was a carefree teen (who are all grown up and my best friends), became a midwife in my twenties and married the love of my life, Nonie, in my thirties. Photography came into my world when I entered my forties (having spent 4 decades taking photos with point and shoot film cameras!) and I have completely fallen in love with it! I absolutely love it!
